Knitting Mania: A Global Epidemic?

Carmen is very, very ill. Ana is ill, too, but Carmen seems to have an unfortunate susceptibility to whatever this manic knitting disease is. It's obviously highly contagious, so I assume I have some inate resistance. (Although I was teaching my friend Eli how to cast on the other night, thinking, "Is this it? Is this a symptom? Should I call my doctor?") For better or worse, life has been too busy for me to get caught up in the craze, but there's always hope I will be afflicted in the future.
