Nerding out

I forgot to mention last time my participation in a total nerdy-dorky-geek-out. Before I continue I must add that participation in such activity is totally impossible unless you have a co-nerd to play with. Enter email scrabble. Oh you say, I've heard of this. Oh no I say, this is total old school. You're thinking of that program that people can use to play together. Ah, but Emily has a Mac and I have a PC and that stupid program only works for PCs. So what to do? Follow me...

1. Scour internet for nerdy solution
2. Find a solution
3. Purchase 2 Travel Scrabble Boards
4. Send one to nerd and fellow knitter: Emily (with instructions)
5. Bring on the Scrabble Master
6. Play Ball

The Scrabble Master is an email program devised by an intelligent programmer who wanted to stay intouch with equally dorky sister by playing scrabble. This game used to be played snail mail style, but Scrabble Master has improved upon the concept. Scrabble Master is a keeper of the letters. Each player has their own boards at wherever far away timbucktoo location they're at. You just send emails to scrabble master and to each other during game play and there you go. Total unabashed long distance dork out fest. I love it. Thanks for playing along Emily!

Goodness me I never would have imagined the existence of Scrabble Master. I have a travel scrabble set which I received as a gift but it doesn't get used much in my household as none of us are scrabble buffs.
